Searls, a fellow at the Center for Information Technology & Society (CITS) at the University of California, Santa Barbara, is best known for his books on technology and marketing, such as “The Intention Economy: When Customers Take Charge” and “The Cluetrain Manifesto.” He’s also been an important component of the Linux Journal for more than a decade.
